Bill 'Comeback Kid' Lanoux takes week 1 in the CPL 2008 Summer Session!
Comeback Kid played a wild 'Gus Hansen' style match on Wednesday and he had his opponents scratchin their heads for most of the night...
Bill had a solid lead early on....and just built that lead throughout the evening.
Drama was ALL AROUND Comeback Kid....but he was not involved with most of it....maybe that is why he is the early point leader in this Summer Session.

Welcome to Scott Bauer to the CPL! Scott didn't take long to establish his CPL moniker....
First he was labeled Scott "Lindgren" Bauer....but that was eventually overtaken by the glitzier, appropriate, and fitting moniker Scott "Hollywood" Bauer as he gave an Oscar Award winning performance with Pocket Rockets as he tried to lure Comeback Kid into a 3 way All In! To Comeback's credit....he didn't bite....and Scott's Rockets held up....we'll ALL KNOW this actors capabilities next time!
OTHER DRAMA during Week 1!!!
Did I mention that your CPL Director Mark Cardenas had his Ace high Flush beaten by a Full House on the flop by Nanoman....yet Nanoman did not take The Verbal out?
Oh...and how about Mark (Verbal) (All in with 6d 6s) vs Malinda (Nemesis with Ad Qd) and Malinda gets the Ace high flush on the flop.....just to have The Verbal completely suck out a ONE OUT'R on the river to achieve only the Second CPL Straight Flush!!!
And did I talk about Wanda's (Wicked 1) Pocket Jacks that went up against Phil's (Karaoke) Set of 8's on the flop....to have Wicked 1 pick up the set of Jacks on the River to take Karaoke out during the FIRST LEVEL!!
I was exhausted by the end of the night.....
